Voivode Dan II Bust

Placed at the entrance of Măneciu commune, the bust of voivode Dan II pays homage to an emblematic figure of the Basarab dynasty. The monument marks the historic bond between the locality and the voivode who issued the first documentary attestation of the settlement, on 1 December 1429.

The bust, a work of sculptor George Dumitru, was financed by the Măneciu Local Council.
