Who we are
The Destination Management Organisation (DMO) Cheia – Măneciu is a public-private body created to coordinate and promote the sustainable tourism development of the Măneciu area and the Cheia resort, in Prahova county. Măneciu Town Hall is a founding member, alongside local entrepreneurs.
Set at the foot of the Ciucaș Mountains, in the Teleajen Valley, the Cheia – Măneciu destination offers spectacular scenery, monasteries and historic monuments, the Măneciu reservoir and mountain trails for every level. Our mission is to bring this natural, cultural and historic heritage to life and make Cheia – Măneciu a destination worth visiting all week long, not only at weekends.
What we do
- We promote the destination and our members locally, regionally, nationally and internationally — on the website, in the app, on social media, on maps, brochures and at tourism fairs.
- We build bridges between entrepreneurs of all fields, between the business community and the local community, and between them and the authorities.
- We support integrated tourist packages, customer exchange between members and the sustainable development of the area.
- We carry the entrepreneurs' pressing issues (infrastructure, utilities, signage) directly to Măneciu Town Hall.
- We access non-reimbursable funding for leisure and tourism infrastructure projects.
